Start your season off with a spring black bear hunt with MacGregor Outfitting Ltd. Our black bear hunts are held in a remote area of the Northern Alberta boreal forest, in the months of may and early June. You will be hunting primarily out of a stand or blind at a established bait site. spot and stalk style hunts are a definite possibility; depending on the opportunity at hand and how your guide sees fit. We have long established baited sites, which bait is replenished regularly. Many big boars frequent the area, with about 25% being color phase bears. we strive to only harvest mature bears and manage our area accordingly. Allowing young boars to grow and mature. We happily accommodate rifle and bow hunters. bringing a rifle/bow you are comfortable and consistent with is key (minimum .270). shot distance when at the bait is between 20-100 yards, depending if you are bow or rifle hunting. spot and stalk range can vary from 10 yards to 300 yards, depending on the opportunity given. This is a Perfect hunt to start off the season, whether it is your first guided hunt or you have done many guided hunts. We can ensure the adrenaline will be flowing when you see the bears coming in.
