Description

We offer comfortable pit and field hunts for spring snow geese in south central Nebraska and northern Kansas.

What to Expect

A good time! An average day consists of 20+ birds with exceptional days of days 60+ birds. We recommend a three day hunt to to meet this average. One day can be slow the next average and another hot. We are hunting a migratory bird and although our years of hunting these areas puts us under well known migration and travel routes we cannot control animals, weather, jump shooters etc.

Gear & Equipment

Here is the list of items you are definitely going to need:

• Layers of clothes to adjust to changing conditions. Temps can range from sub 0 to 70 degrees F. Water proof rubber footwear.
• 2 boxes of 3" #1,BB or BBB per person a day.
• Coolers to store harvested birds, Zip lock bags, etc. We will provide a bird hitcher, a cleaning area and disposal of carcass.

Weapon Details

Shotguns with plugs removed. Chokes patterned for shots ranging from 30 to 60 yards.

3 days/3 nights Package Price: $900 per hunter Deposit: $450

• Non Hunting Guest: $(url removed) per day (does not include field accommodations)
• Extra Lodging: $50per person per night
• Based on 4 hunters per Per unit if less than 4 it's an additional $50per person.

Full Day Hunt Price: $250per hunter Deposit: $125

Payment Information

• Hunt Packages are non-refundable
• Packages booked during our season of operation must be paid fully at the time of booking.
• We accept Venmo, Cash and checks only

Cancellation Policy

• No rain checks unless schedule permits
• Cancelled hunts are not refunded, but a replacement may be found. This could mean a mobile field hunt in place of a pit hunt if weather pushes birds from our pit locations.

Gratuities

• Customary, but not required
• Guides: 15-20% of the hunt price

Camp/Accommodations

You will stay at one of our two lodges. The Duncan lodge has 12 beds (sleeps up to 20) with three bathrooms. Two of the three have a seperate shower oposite of a toilet sink room to keep clients moving with privacy. Or a rual farmsted ranch house with 8 beds and three baths. We also work with some local inn keepers in the area for smaller groups.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to walk 200 to 300 yards through decoys and descend/ascend a vertical wall ladder in and out of pit. Layouts hunts require being physically able to get up and down from a laying position.

Permit & Tag Application Process

Nebraska licensee cost is $144.00 season or $111.00 for a two day, plus federal duck stamp.
