Description

Budge's has more than a dozen permitted camp locations scattered throughout our 150 square mile area. However, we never use more than a handful in a single season. This allows us to rotate camp locations, reduce pressure, and increase hunt quality. Inside the Wilderness area boundary, there is no motorized access. Hunters will ride into camp on one of our sturdy saddle horses or mules. And all gear will be taken by our hard working pack animals. Once you're at camp, all hunting is done on foot. This makes it a good option for hunters who would rather not ride a horse out of the main lodge every day.

Our wilderness camps are simple yet comfortable, with 16x20 wall tents and wood burning stoves, along with large cots and thick pads. Bring your sleeping bag and personal hunting gear, and we'll take care of the rest. An attached cook tent provides a separate space for our guides to prepare meals.

Our wilderness camp elk hunts include meals, five full days of hunting, and eight nights of accommodations - six of those nights are in the wilderness camp. And two nights on either end of the trip will be spent in one of our cabins back at the main lodge.

What to Expect

Hunters can expect to start their day with a hot breakfast in the cook tent. Then, we'll set off into the wilderness for a day of hunting. There are never any guarantees out here in the wilderness, but our guides will put you in the best possible position for an opportunity. In most cases, you will stay out all day and we will provide a sack lunch. Expect to return to camp after dark, where our guides will prepare a hot dinner before setting in for the night.

Pricing Details

Our hunts are typically guided with a ratio of 2 hunters per guide. 1-on-1 hunts are available upon request.

2-on-1: $6,800 per person

1-on-1: $7,800 per person

Wilderness camp prices are per-person, based on double occupancy and require a minimum of 2 hunters.

Includes: Five full days of guided horseback hunting, eight nights lodging and meals.

Does Not Include: Gratuities, weapon, or personal gear, transportation to and from the lodge. Please let us know if you'd like to arrange transportation.
