All deposits and payments are non-refundable for any reason, including cancellations, no-shows, weather, illness, delays, or changes in plans. Camp/Accommodations

Step back 75 years into real Maine backcountry. Historic log cabins hug Chamberlain Lake; no roads, no crowds, just moose, loons, and silence. Sleep 2 to 20 per cabin; twin and double beds, wood stoves, propane lights, full kitchen gear. Private outhouses, hot showers at the main site. Hearty home-cooked meals included at the Main Lodge. Get in by float plane, boat, or snowmobile your ride ends where the wild begins. Limited Hunt. First come, first moose. Don't wait.

Physical Requirements

Remote wilderness (Allagash north woods); physical requirements: moderate hiking/boat access; permit: Maine moose lottery or included guided; tag application via Maine IFW; guided hunt with registered Maine guide.

Permit & Tag Application Process

Eligibility Requirements for Hunter: -Hunting License Required (Hunter/sub permittee)– Applicants must obtain a Maine big game hunting license or a Combination fish/hunt (includes Big and Small Game License) before the permit can be issued. -Minimum Age is 10 – The hunter, the sub-permittee, and the alternate sub-permittee must be 10 years of age by the opening day of the moose season. -Three-year waiting period – Hunter can't have held a moose permit in 2023, 2024, or 2025, to be eligible. This restriction does not impact those who have won moose permits through the auction

  • Moose Permit Process: For guided hunts like Nugent's, outfitter provides/included (via allocation/lodge lottery). No separate lottery needed for client.
