Experience an unforgettable 3-day fully guided bear hunt with our expert houndsmen. We specialize in pursuing mature, color-phased bears in prime territory. Your package includes all lodging and delicious meals, ensuring a comfortable and successful outing in the field.

What to Expect

What to Expect The Daily Routine: Days start well before dawn. Guides glass access roads, trails, and water sources to strike a fresh track. Once released, the pack handles the tracking while guides and hunters monitor GPS collars to chart the chase over rugged terrain.

The Pursuit: Hound hunting requires physical readiness. Once the bear trees or bay up on a rock bluff, you must hike in rapidly through steep timber, thick brush, or rocky drainages to reach the bay before the bear breaks.

The Harvest: At the tree, your guide will evaluate the bear's size and sex to ensure it is a mature, legal harvest before you set up for an ethical shot.

Gear & Equipment

Good waterproof boots, I prefer Crispis or boots that are equivalent.

Weapon Details

Rifle,Bow,Pistol are the preferred methods of black bears.

Terms & Conditions

All initial booking deposits are strictly non-refundable and secure the designated hunt dates on the Outfitter's schedule. In the event that the Client must cancel the scheduled hunt, a minimum notice of one (1) month prior to the hunt start date is strictly required. If the Client fails to provide at least one month's notice, cancels after the deadline, or departs early, the Client remains liable for the full balance fee, and no refunds or credits will be issued. If the Outfitter must cancel due to unforeseen operational conflicts, a full refund or alternate scheduling will be provided.

Camp/Accommodations

Bear Hunts will be based either out of hotel/base camp depending on where we have bears located/

Physical Requirements

Mountain hunts frequently take place between 6,000 and 10,000+ feet. Thinner air compounds physical exertion, making cardiovascular preparation essential well before arrival.

Permit & Tag Application Process

Hunting License and Bear Tag are sold separately and must be purchased at least a week before arriving for hunt.
