Hunt a mature Red Stag on a private 1,480-acre managed estate in southern France, only about one hour from Toulouse. This 2-day, 1x1 guided package is priced at $5,500 per hunter and includes one Red Stag up to 14 points, lodge accommodation, all meals and drinks, the temporary French hunting license, field trophy preparation and transportation throughout the estate. The hunt combines spot-and-stalk with strategically positioned high seats. The estate holds a carefully managed Red Deer population, allowing hunters to pursue mature stags throughout a long season from September through March, with the rut from mid-September to mid-October. The price is fixed for the included stag up to 14 points. There is no trophy fee added after the animal is harvested.
Expect a comfortable but authentic European estate hunt with two full hunting days and professional 1x1 guiding. Hunting is primarily by spot-and-stalk along woodland edges and forest tracks, with high seats used when wind or animal movement makes them more effective. During the September and October rut, stags are particularly vocal and active. Outside the rut, the managed population allows quality stalking throughout the season. The terrain requires only moderate fitness. Trophy quality and point count are assessed by the guide before the shot. One Red Stag up to 14 points is included in the fixed package price.
Comfortable waterproof hunting boots, quiet layered hunting clothing, rain protection, binoculars and gloves are recommended. The terrain consists mainly of woodland, forest tracks and open edges, so specialized mountain equipment is not required. Autumn conditions during the rut can be mild, while winter hunts may be cold and wet. Clothing should therefore be adapted to the selected dates.
A .270 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield or similar deer cartridge is ideal for this hunt. A rifle equipped with a quality variable-power scope is recommended. Rifle rental is available on the estate, including a rifle fitted with a Zeiss 3-12x50 scope. Bow hunting can also be arranged, although additional hunting days are generally recommended.
$5,500 per hunter. This fixed-price package includes 2 hunting days with professional 1x1 guiding, 2 nights in the estate lodge with private bathroom, all meals and drinks including open bar, one Red Stag up to 14 points, transportation throughout the estate, field trophy preparation and the temporary French hunting license. There is no additional trophy fee for the included Red Stag up to 14 points. Additional hunting days, additional animals, rifle rental and taxidermy can be arranged. Non-hunting companion: price on request. Optional European Mouflon and Wild Boar can be added, subject to availability. Pricing on request.
Availability must be confirmed before booking. A deposit is required to secure the selected hunting dates, with the payment schedule and cancellation conditions provided in the written booking agreement before payment. The $5,500 package includes one Red Stag up to 14 points. Additional animals are charged separately and must be agreed with the hunter before harvest. If an animal is wounded and there is clear evidence of a potentially fatal hit, the applicable trophy is considered harvested in accordance with the estate's wounding policy. Weather may affect the hunting method or daily schedule. Where possible, the guide will adapt the hunt between spot-and-stalk and high-seat hunting during the booked period. International travel, trophy export and shipping, gratuities and personal insurance are not included unless specifically stated otherwise.
Hunters stay directly on the private estate in a comfortable hunting lodge with eight bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. All meals and drinks are included, including an open bar. The property also has an indoor swimming pool, bar and restaurant located in a traditional stone building. Two additional cottages with three and four bedrooms are available for larger groups. Non-hunting companions are welcome. Toulouse is approximately one hour away and offers restaurants, culture and sightseeing while the hunter is in the field.
Moderate. This hunt does not require mountain-level fitness. Hunters should be comfortable walking forest tracks, woodland edges and moderately uneven ground. High seats can also be used depending on conditions and hunter preference. The hunt can be adapted to the hunter's physical ability whenever reasonably possible.
No draw or tag application is required. The temporary French hunting license is included in the package and arranged before arrival once the required personal documents have been received. The included Red Stag is part of the estate's managed hunting program.
