The chinook and silvers stage at the mouth of the Columbia River in huge numbers before they make their march to the spawning grounds. These mint bright hard hitting fish are at their apex for size and fight with fish occasionally caught 30 to 40 lbs. range. This fishery books early so get your spots right away. Alaska • Our Southeast Alaska fishing trips depart daily on board our fully outfitted charter fishing vessels. We whisk you away to the hotspots and return each evening to the comfort and luxury of Dove Island Lodge. Our charter boats range from 28-foot SeaSports to a 40-foot motor-yacht. Only four anglers fish from our SeaSports to ensure the ultimate in fast action on our Alaska fishing charters. Our 40-foot yacht is used for special overnight excursions or daily eco-tours. In 2005, a 34-1/2-foot Coldwater vessel with an 11-foot beam, boasting a full walk-around, was purchased. This boat easily cruises at 30-knots and can comfortably accommodate up to six anglers while still providing 15-feet of space between each fisherman. It also offers spacious cabin seating and a full stand-up private head.

In the spring we rush to where we think we have the best odds of finding fish, drop our anchor, and wait for the bite! In the Fall, we hop hole-to-hole searching for bites. Different seasons bring different styles of fishing. We don't exclusively target Salmon in the fall, we target them alongside Steelhead, too. Make sure you're prepared for both! We primarily fish two different ways for Salmon: Plugs, & side-drifting! We can retain hatchery or wild Fall Chinook, and must release wild Spring Chinook. There's nothing like bringing home a Salmon caught on the Salmon River! Fall Season: Mid September - October 31 Spring Season: Mid/Late May - Mid June Price: $240/angler (minimum 2 spots per boat)

Spey Fishing for Steelhead - Salmon River, IdahoFrom $240 to $480

Riggins • Late-September through mid-December we offer fly fishing trips for Steelhead on the Salmon River out of Riggins, Idaho. Whether it's your goal to swing up your first Steelhead on a Spey Rod, or add another notch on the cork, we have you covered! Generally, we find our best success from Mid-October through Thanksgiving. We sometimes even like to swing dry flies in the earlier part of the season. Run timing & water conditions play a huge role in how early in the season we can start, and how late we can fish through. We can schedule Salmon River fly fishing Jan-March, but we encourage you to stick to the fall & early winter fishery if possible. Our professional guides will be beside you the entire day, rowing you from run-to-run, giving advice (if you want it!), netting your fish, and helping you select the best fly to use. We want you to be successful, whether you're a seasoned veteran fly fisherman, or new to the art. We will put you on the best water, boost your confidence, and increase your odds of hooking into an amazing Salmon River Steelhead
