• Archery Elk and Mule Deer Combo Hunt - Our hunt takes place during the month of September. The private ranch consists of over 15,000 acres of breath taking scenery in the Owyhee Mountains on the eastern edge of Oregon. This ranch has been owned by the same family for over 100 years. The camp is based right in the middle of the ranch in a rustic cow camp that looks like it could be out of a John Wayne movie. The hunting on this ranch is very limited to help ensure that the animals remain unpressured. We target the hunt to take place during the elk rut when the bulls are screaming. We also hunt over select water holes. These water holes have provided high opportunities on mature bulls every year. The mule deer on this ranch are in a league of their own.

• Trinity Fork Outfitters offers archery and general season hunts for Black Bears in California. Bear tags can be bought over-the-counter and are valid for a huge chunk of the state. It's no secret that California has a lot of bears, including both large and color phase bears. Our hunts provide the opportunity to explore remote regions of Northern California where we have permits to access thousands of acres of forest that host a robust bear population.
Guides start hitting the mountains in the summer scouting for bears. We've had eyes on dozens of bears before the season begins. Food sources change throughout the year and the key to finding bears is to find the food. Our guides will have several feeding locations scouted before guests arrive and we will put you in the ideal location to glass for bears getting fat before winter.

• California is home to a wide variety of game birds. At Trinity Fork Outfitters we target mountain quail, valley (California) quail, sooty grouse, ruffed grouse, and band-tailed pigeons. Doves can also be found incidental to hunting other species. We have permits to operate on thousands of acres of incredible upland habitat. We are working on adding chukar and Gambel's quail properties to the list.
All of our upland bird hunts are over pointing dogs that are also trained to retrieve.
Mountain Quail
If we had to choose one upland bird to hunt the rest of our life, it would have to be the mountain quail. If it wasn't for the beautiful landscapes they call home, they win the award for craftiness and excellent table fare. As the name implies, these are the birds of the mountains. The mountain quail loves brush choked hillsides next to water. It's common to find mountain quail in the vicinity of sooty grouse, ruffed grouse, band-tailed pigeon, and squirrel, depending on the part of the state. We also find valley quail in the same spots as mountain quail in some lower elevation locations. The season starts early, runs late, and bag limits are generous. There is no place better than California to chase mountain quail.

Valley (California) Quail
It's true the valley quail inhabit lower elevation valleys of California. They also can be found higher in altitude in the foothills and beyond. Think of briars and thick brush pockets intermixed with grassy openings. During optimal wet years the valley quail hatches can be insane. When cooperative they can hold tight for dogs and explode like bullets out of the briars. Can be effectively combined with mountain quail, squirrel, dove, and rabbit hunting.

• This exclusive guiding area encompasses 140 square miles of the very best Whitetail habitat in northern Saskatchewan. Better still, the territory is situated beside the ~no hunting allowed~ Candle Lake game preserve.
This guiding area has been well managed in the past but also under utilized. We are committed to trophy quality and work hard at proper deer management. We also own the trap line in the outfitting area which allows us to maintain the wolf population.
Hunts run November and first week of Dec each year.
Torch River
• This exclusive guiding area encompasses 120 square miles of the very best black bear habitat in northern Saskatchewan. Better still, the territory is situated beside the Candle Lake Game Preserve. This game preserve is a ~no hunting allowed~ park.
We have about 30% colour phase bears and a high hunt success rate. We encourage our hunters to harvest older mature boars to keep the trophy quality high. We have a large number of trail cams out for our management use.
Hunts run from mid May to the end June each year, all hunts are from Monday to Friday.
