• Duck and Goose Hunting at Double P Ranch
Double P Ranch offers an exceptional duck and goose hunting experience for both seasoned hunters and newcomers. Whether hunting in the field or over water, guests can expect thrilling opportunities to target a variety of waterfowl species. Our guests frequently harvest limits of ducks, including mallards, pintails, canvasbacks, redheads, wood ducks, and giant Canada geese.
Out-of-State Licenses: A Lottery Draw System
Out-of-state hunters must enter a lottery to obtain waterfowl licenses. The success rate for securing a 10-day license has averaged around 65% over the past few years. Groups of up to six can apply together, increasing the chances of at least one person in the group drawing a tag. Guests who apply annually can expect to draw a license approximately every other year. For those who are successful, the hunt is often described as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially on guided outings.
Self-Guided Waterfowl Hunting
For those who prefer a self-guided adventure, Double P Ranch provides the essential equipment to make your hunt successful. Guests have access to decoys, duck boats, and layout blinds. Our knowledgeable guides assist in directing hunters to productive hunting spots in and around the lodge. Please note that our guides are unable to assist with hunts on public land.
Guided Waterfowl Hunts
Many of our guests choose to hire a waterfowl guide for one or two days to maximize their experience. Guided hunts are a luxurious option, with guides extensively scouting prime hunting locations prior to each day's outing. The rate for guided hunts is approximately $250 per guest per day for parties of four. These guided experiences often result in higher success rates and unforgettable memories.
Whether you choose a guided or self-guided hunt, Double P Ranch promises a premier waterfowl hunting experience you won't soon forget.
