Your day begins at first light searching for fresh lion tracks. Our world class lion dogs are highly trained to run and catch lions in variable habitats, whether it is on dry ground or in snow conditions. We never tire of listening to them strike and trail a fresh track. Weather can be extreme during these months. The better physical condition that the hunter is in will go a long way in increasing the success rate of the hunt. When the dogs push the lion into rough country, the hunter should be prepared for some tough hiking. Our staff is committed to providing each of our clients with a truly memorable outing, be it for first timers or experienced hunters. If you get your lion early in the hunt and want to take a bobcat, we'll do our best to facilitate that catch as well.

Bloomville • Guided upland hunting for ruffed grouse and migratory woodcock! We hunt all wild birds on public land throughout the Catskills, Mowhawk Valley, and Central New York. Our coverts [pronounced 'covers'] are full of prime aged grouse and woodcock habitat; from overgrown apple trees to aspen stands, rock walls and alder bottoms - we hunt thick cover to find and flush the king of the upland gamebirds! We hunt over pointing dogs and welcome guests to bring their own pointing or flushing dog! Our typical flush rates exceed the state average, but we encourage guests to hunt at least two half or full days to experience what our coverts have to offer.

Airgun and Decoying Pigeon Hunting In IdahoFrom $300 to $550

Idaho • Decoying Pigeons just like Hunting Waterfowl! Our "Bread and Butter" is Hunting Pigeons over Decoys with shotguns. Hunting locations can vary, but are typically found in fields, dairies, feed lots and granary locations. When hunting in dairies or feed lots, group will be set up in the corrals with the cows or just outside of the corrals. Group will be sitting on bucket seats or chairs (which will be provided) when hunting in or outside of the corrals. For fields and granaries group will be using layout blinds (which will be provided) the majority of the time. Keep in mind this is not pass shooting like is found in Argentina, instead the pigeons will be decoying fifteen yards out from group right over the decoy spread. Here in the state of Idaho there are no seasons or limits associated with pigeons. The pigeons start flying shortly after sunrise and will be steady for two to three hours. Group will break around mid day, and head to a designated resting spot to get some lunch, or rest up before they head out to the afternoon hunt location. Pigeons will come back to feed locations early afternoon and will be steady for a few more hours. Our goal, is to harvest/retrieve approximately 100 pigeons per day as a group, sometimes goal can be doubled, tripled or more! In addition to the original Shotgun Hunts, Pure Pigeon Outfitters is now offering Airgun Pigeon Hunts utilizing FX Airguns. Airguns and Ammunition can be provided for day use upon request. Shots can very from 10 yards to 150 yards, and anything in between.

The ranch we have is private land with really excellent deer populations. Were offering mule deer hunts for quality deer ranging in the 150-180 class the ranches have potential for the 200 class deer also. Glassing and stalking are the hunting methods. We do a lot of pre-scouting prior to the hunt and during the year. Our Elk Hunts are done south of Eagles Nest, NM. on a great private ranch bordered by National Forest. Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada • Our caribou hunts are limited in number due to an overall decline in the population across the entire island. Many trophy animals can still be found in our Caribou Management area, CMA 69. For many years the Woodland caribou populations on the Northern Peninsula rivaled numbers anywhere on the island with many trophy antlers taken each year. We had 100% success rate for caribou and average of 80% in the large animal range for many years. However, with the decline in numbers and limited licences available, you need to get that trophy now otherwise the opportunity may pass you by. Our Woodland Caribou hunts can be taken as a single species hunt or added to a Moose and Black Bear hunt for the Grand Slam! The black bear can only be combined with a moose or caribou hunt. We do not offer this hunt as a seperate hunt on it's own. The bears have lots of natural feed here in area 39 which allows them to grow to a very large size.

Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada • The province of Newfoundland has an estimated population of over 120,000 Eastern Canadian Moose, the most densely populated area in North America. Areas 39 & 39A have exceptional moose population density due to it's remote wilderness location,accessible with float plane only. The average antler size in our area is 36 to 40" and we take some every year in the 40 to 50 inch range. Overall success since 1993 has been 95% on Bull Moose. Long Range Mountain has two locations on the Eastern Side of the Norther Peninsula, on top of the Mountain range, in rolling hill country. The area has ideal Moose Terrain with small bogs and streams, small lakes, timbered valleys and barren peaks. The barren peaks can be utilized to glass and call the area for Moose. The black bear can only be combined with a moose or caribou hunt. We do not offer this hunt as a seperate hunt on it's own. The bears have lots of natural feed here in area 39 which allows them to grow to a very large size.
