• Our caribou hunts are limited in number due to an overall decline in the population across the entire island. Many trophy animals can still be found in our Caribou Management area, CMA 69. For many years the Woodland caribou populations on the Northern Peninsula rivaled numbers anywhere on the island with many trophy antlers taken each year. We had 100% success rate for caribou and average of 80% in the large animal range for many years. However, with the decline in numbers and limited licences available, you need to get that trophy now otherwise the opportunity may pass you by. Our Woodland Caribou hunts can be taken as a single species hunt or added to a Moose and Black Bear hunt for the Grand Slam!
The black bear can only be combined with a moose or caribou hunt. We do not offer this hunt as a seperate hunt on it's own. The bears have lots of natural feed here in area 39 which allows them to grow to a very large size.
Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
• The province of Newfoundland has an estimated population of over 120,000 Eastern Canadian Moose, the most densely populated area in North America. Areas 39 & 39A have exceptional moose population density due to it's remote wilderness location,accessible with float plane only. The average antler size in our area is 36 to 40" and we take some every year in the 40 to 50 inch range. Overall success since 1993 has been 95% on Bull Moose. Long Range Mountain has two locations on the Eastern Side of the Norther Peninsula, on top of the Mountain range, in rolling hill country. The area has ideal Moose Terrain with small bogs and streams, small lakes, timbered valleys and barren peaks. The barren peaks can be utilized to glass and call the area for Moose.
The black bear can only be combined with a moose or caribou hunt. We do not offer this hunt as a seperate hunt on it's own. The bears have lots of natural feed here in area 39 which allows them to grow to a very large size.

• We provide several types of waterfowl hunting: Field hunting, River hunting and jumping techniques. For hunters who focus on Geese, we start the morning by setting up dozens of large fully flocked Avian X Canadian geese decoys on a pre-scouted field using laydown and hunt blinds on private leased hunting properties.
As soon as the morning flight is complete, we move on to stocking and jumping ducks along the Great San Juan River and on our leased grazing and private properties.

Depending on the species and package you choose, our hunts can include hiking, sitting water holes, spot and stalk, and operating out of 4x4 vehicles and lots of glassing. No horses, stock, or pack in camps.
Meat care: Our guides will field dress the animal and follow proper meat care, get it on ice as soon as possible and transport the meat back to the lodge. We have meat processors that we can recommend in Casper. Your guide or another Lone Tree Outfitters staff member will transport you and your animal to the processor. It is the hunters responsibility to pay for the meat processing. IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE HUNT!

Archery
The sounds of September! Get ready for a hunt of a lifetime. There's not many things that compare to having a big bull elk bugling just a few yards away. These hunts will consist of hiking and covering lots of ground to get within range of rutting bulls. All our elk hunts are done in limited draw areas where trophy potential is very high.
Rifle
Rifle elk hunting is a staple out west, we are very humble being located just minutes away from some of the best limited draw units in the state. With that being said, our areas are harder to draw, but the potential of trophy bulls is very high!

Archery
Here's your chance to hunt whitetail bucks in velvet. Our season starts September 1st and goes until September 30th. These hunts are done on mainly private property and will consist of sitting in blinds along agriculture fields and pinch points.
Rifle
We have a few different seasons where we can hunt whitetail with a rifle. The first season is in October and the second season is a late rut tag in November. These hunts will be performed on private land, mainly around agriculture fields.
